Plant 1 Million Trees By 2025
We’ve partnered with non-profit organization, One Tree Planted, to plant one million trees by the year 2025. We’ve already started by planting 50,000 trees in 2021, and our goal is to give back to regions that provide our products’ natural resources. We’re planting trees in countries like India, Malaysia, and the U.S., beginning with the place we call home - Utah.
We’re planting fruit-bearing trees so that we can support local food supplies and our global farmers’ income. This multi-level support will help us maximize our positive impact on local communities across the globe. KAL, a Better Being Co., has promised to invest $1 million dollars over the next four years in order to plant one million trees worldwide.
Sustainable Energy
We produce all our products in-house at our facility in Ogden, Utah. By manufacturing right at home, we have control of not just the quality of our products, but also how we manufacture them and our industrial impact on the planet.
We’re working to switch to more sustainable sources of energy. Our goal is to increase our solar power usage at our manufacturing facilities to 10% of our total energy consumption by 2025.
Solar panels are a form of clean energy and come with numerous benefits. Solar power helps reduce CO2 emissions leading to less pollutants in the air, which helps keep earth’s temperature stable. Reducing air pollution also improves the population’s health long-term. According to the US Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy, by reducing pollutants in the air, we can save more than 25,000 lives.
Recycled Bottles
We currently source 20% of our bottles using PCR, or Post-Consumer Recycled Resin, and plan on expanding this in the near future.
PCR is a recycled material made from existing PET bottles or other plastics. Opting for PCR bottles helps reduce plastic going into landfills. Benefits of PCR bottles include reducing new or “virgin” plastic use, reducing landfill waste, lessening fossil fuel used from creating new plastic, reusing PCR in manufacturing, and using PCR to reduce single-use plastics, further reducing plastic waste.
